Finance
Finance is where you find out how the business is actually doing, and what happens next if you change something. If you need this month's numbers, a statement to hand an accountant or a lender, a view of what's committed against each project, a reminder before a policy lapses, or an answer to "can we afford to hire three people", this is the module you work in.

Getting started
- Open Financials in the sidebar. The cards across the top show Monthly Revenue, Monthly Expenses, Net Profit, and Pipeline Value. If they're empty, connect a billing integration or add a business first — see Integrations.
- Check the statements. Go to Financial Reports, pick a date range with From and To, and select Run report.
- Plan against a number. On the same overview, select Create Budget, name it, set the Fiscal Year, and add Allocations by category.
- Load your recurring commitments into Renewals & Obligations so nothing lapses quietly.
- Select Generate now on AI CFO to get your first brief.
Reading your financial statements
Financial Reports has three tabs: Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
- Choose the tab you want. The income statement and cash flow use From and To; the balance sheet uses a single As of date.
- Select Run report.
- Select Export CSV to take the figures elsewhere.
The income statement totals Gross Profit, Operating Income, and Net Income. Cash flow runs Beginning Cash through Net Change in Cash to Ending Cash. If the balance sheet doesn't balance, SaaSy warns that the ledger may have unbalanced or unposted entries — that points at your data, not at the report.
Never missing a renewal
- Open Renewals & Obligations and select Add renewal.
- Set the Name, Type, Provider / issuer, Reference #, Renewal / expiry date, and Cadence. Tick Auto-renews (card on file) where it applies.
- Watch the Status column. It reads Active, then a countdown such as 7d left as the date nears, then Overdue or Lapsed.
- When you renew something, select Renewed on its row to roll the date forward.
If you've connected a bank account, Detected from your bank lists recurring charges SaaSy spotted. Select Track to turn one into a tracked renewal, or Dismiss to ignore it.
Modelling a decision
What-If Simulator projects your real cash, MRR, burn, and headcount forward.
- Open What-If. Your starting point (real data) shows the baseline it will use.
- Under Build a scenario, name it and set a Horizon (months), then whichever levers apply — New hires, Hire start month, Extra churn (pp/mo), Price change (%), Extra monthly spend, or Lost accounts MRR.
- Select Run scenario. Results show Ending cash, Runway, and Ending MRR.
- Scenarios you run are kept under Saved scenarios. Use Compare two scenarios to put two side by side.
Working with sales tax
Sales Tax has four tabs. Nexus tracks taxable sales and transactions per state against a threshold and marks each Nexus reached or Below threshold. Liability produces a filing-ready report of tax collected per jurisdiction for a date range. Exemptions stores exemption certificates against a customer and jurisdiction, with an optional expiry. Calculator works out tax on a single amount for a destination state.
SaaSy reports what it has recorded and flags what crosses a threshold. It does not register you anywhere and does not file on your behalf.
Availability
Finance is enabled by default in every vertical pack — agency, professional services, e-commerce, SaaS, construction, manufacturing, nonprofit, and general. Nothing in this module is gated by plan or add-on, so every page above is available on every plan. If Finance is missing from your sidebar, it has been hidden in navigation settings rather than excluded by your plan — see Modules, packs, and plans.
SaaSy is not a tax, legal, or accounting advisor. Confirm your obligations with a qualified professional.
