Growth
Growth is the part of SaaSy that faces the people who are not customers yet. It holds eight separate pages: a website builder, a naming and branding studio, social posting, a demand feed from Reddit and Hacker News, a rate card and quote form, property measurement, tracked short links and QR codes, and a board for ideas you parked earlier.
The eight are independent; nothing has to be set up before anything else works. Two of them do talk to each other: Measurements prices a property against the same rate card Quote Widget uses, and Website Builder themes a new site from the brand kit you save in Name & Brand Studio.
What's included
| Page | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Website Builder | Create a website from a template, edit its pages, and publish it to a public address |
| Name & Brand Studio | Generate business-name candidates, check what is taken, and save a brand kit |
| Social | Connect social accounts, write a post once, and publish it now or schedule it |
| Community | Watch Reddit and Hacker News for threads that sound like your customers |
| Quote Widget | Build a rate card, then generate a form to embed on your own website |
| Tracked Links | Short links and QR codes for signs and flyers, and a click count for each |
| Measurements | Record how big a property is, then price any service against it |
| Ideas | A three-column board for ideas you parked from your Inbox |
A few open with a heading that reads slightly differently from the sidebar item you clicked: Quote Widget opens Quote widget, Tracked Links opens Tracked links, Measurements opens Property measurements, and Social opens SaaSy Social.
Getting started
Most people start with a website. The flow below takes about five minutes.
- Open Website Builder from the sidebar.
- Choose a template: Service business, Storefront, or Landing page.
- Fill in Site name (optional) if you want something other than your business name. It is used for the site title and for its public address.
- Select Create website. SaaSy drafts your pages and prompts you to edit and publish when ready.
- Edit the text under Edit page, then select Save changes.
- Select Publish site.
Building and publishing a website
When you open a site you already have, select Open editor on its card. The editor is one page with the site name at the top and a Published or Draft badge beside it.
- Theme shows the colors and fonts the site uses. As the card says, they are "Pulled from your brand kit when the site was created." Save a brand kit in Name & Brand Studio before you create a site if you want that to be your branding.
- Pages lists every page in the site. Select one to load it into Edit page below. The home page is marked (home).
- Edit page gives you a Page title field and a form field for every block on the page: hero headings, about text, your offerings, a call to action, and contact details. Select Save changes. When there is nothing left to save the page reads All changes saved.
Publishing is a single button. Before you publish, the card reads Your site is a draft and shows the address it will publish to. After you publish, it reads Your site is live and the address becomes a link you can open.
To take a site down, select Unpublish. SaaSy asks Unpublish this site? and warns that "Visitors will get a 'not found' page until you publish again. Your content and edits are kept."
Where a published site actually lives
Every site gets a Site address, a name of your choosing on a SaaSy subdomain. The editor shows the
exact address, and by default it takes the form your-address.sites.hellosaasy.ai. That address serves
your published site directly, with no SaaSy dashboard around it and no login required of the visitor.
To change it, select Change address, type a new one, and select Save address. SaaSy checks availability as you type. Read the warning on that panel before you confirm: "Changing this updates your public link. If your site is live, the old address stops working."
Connecting your own domain
Under Custom domain you can serve the same site on a domain you own. SaaSy does not sell you the domain here; the button is labelled Connect the domain I bought.
- Enter the domain in the Domain field and select Connect the domain I bought.
- If your workspace does not have website hosting yet, SaaSy asks Add Website Hosting? and explains that "Connecting your own domain needs the Website Hosting add-on." Select Enable hosting to continue; if you have no plan, this takes you to checkout.
- Add the DNS records SaaSy lists under Add these DNS records at your domain provider at whoever manages your domain.
- Select Check status to see where it stands. The panel shows Ownership and TLS progress.
Until the certificate is issued, the domain carries a Pending TLS badge and SaaSy tells you your site "keeps serving on its default address until this domain is verified." That is expected, not an error. Once it goes Verified, the badge turns green and your custom domain becomes the site's public address. Disconnect domain reverses it.
AI crawlers
The AI crawlers card counts visits from AI bots over the last 30 days, split into Live answers, Search index, and Training. As the card notes, "Googlebot is not counted." If nothing has visited, it says No AI crawler visits yet rather than showing you a chart of zeroes.
Naming a business and picking a brand
Name & Brand Studio is a four-step page that runs top to bottom. Each step appears once the one above it has produced something.
- 1. Describe your idea. Type a description, add comma-separated keywords, pick a Tone (modern, playful, professional, bold, minimal, premium, friendly), and optionally enter a two-letter State of formation (optional). Select Suggest names. Regenerate gives you a fresh set.
- 2. Pick a name. You get six candidates, each with a short rationale. Select Check availability on a candidate to see domain results and, if you gave a state, a state-register verdict. Then select Choose this name.
- 3. Choose a brand direction. Four directions, each with a color palette, a heading and body font pairing, and a described logo. Select Save this brand.
- 4. Logo. Select Generate logo to produce an initials mark from the direction's first color. SaaSy stores it on the brand kit and on your organization settings, and the card then reads Saved on the brand kit.
Read the availability results carefully, because they are narrower than they look.
- Domains are judged by whether the name resolves on the internet, so a registered domain that nobody has pointed anywhere yet can show as Available. Confirm with a registrar before you buy.
- Social handles are not checked at all. The
@x,@instagram,@linkedinand@tiktokentries are links that open each network so you can look for yourself. - A Similar names badge compares your candidate against a built-in list of well-known brands. It is not a trademark search, and no badge does not mean the name is clear.
- The state-register check can positively confirm a conflict in a few states and links you out to the filing office everywhere else. Where it cannot search directly it says so, and gives you a link to search that state's register yourself.
- Buy this domain through us is shown but not yet available.
The saved brand kit is not decoration. It themes a new site in Website Builder, and it grounds AI-written copy elsewhere in SaaSy.
Posting to social accounts
Social opens as SaaSy Social. Posts is the composer and queue. Inbox is the conversation workspace: Facebook Page and Instagram Business comments and DMs, AI drafts you approve before anything sends, and one-click CRM lead capture.
Accounts connects each network a different way, because each network works differently.
- LinkedIn has a Connect LinkedIn button that sends you to LinkedIn to approve access. If your workspace's environment has not been set up for it, the button reads "LinkedIn isn't available yet" and is disabled.
- Bluesky connects without leaving the page. Enter your Bluesky handle and an App password. As the form says, "Create an app password in Bluesky Settings, then paste it here."
- Mastodon needs the server your account lives on. Enter the instance host, such as
mastodon.social, under Mastodon and select Connect Mastodon. - Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, TikTok, and Reddit appear in the add-channel grid once that network is configured for the workspace. Instagram and Facebook both use Facebook Login against the same Meta app, but they are separate connections: Instagram publishes to the linked Instagram Business account; Facebook publishes to the first Page the user administers.
Composer writes one post and sends it to several accounts.
- Write the text in Post. The prompt is "What do you want to share?" A counter under the box holds you to the strictest limit among the accounts you picked, and turns red if you go over.
- Attach stills or a clip with the media picker. The composer checks each selected network's limits before you publish: Instagram needs at least one still or a Reel clip (JPEG/PNG, 8 MB, carousels up to 10); Facebook Pages take text, a link, photos (JPEG/PNG/GIF, 10 MB), or a video; LinkedIn, Bluesky, and Mastodon take stills; YouTube and TikTok take a clip. A type or size the network will reject blocks Publish now.
- Under Post to, tick each account that should receive it.
- To change the wording for one account, select Customize for this account under it and type a replacement. That text overrides the shared post for that account only.
- Select Publish now, or tick Schedule for later, set a Run at time, and select Schedule. Failed targets retry from the queue with the same per-network status the other networks already use.
Queue lists everything you have scheduled and published, soonest first. A post carries one of Draft, Scheduled, Publishing, Published, Partial, Failed, or Canceled. Partial means some accounts took the post and others did not. After a publish, the composer lists each account's result so you can see which one failed.
Inbox (Facebook and Instagram)
Inbox sits next to Posts. It is not a second product. Open a conversation, ask AI for a
draft in your voice, edit it, then Approve & send. Generation never posts. Capture lead
creates a CRM lead with source social_inbox and the transcript attached.
Only Facebook Pages and Instagram Business can be read and replied to in this slice. LinkedIn, X,
Mastodon, Bluesky, YouTube, TikTok, and Reddit stay publish-only until those APIs are actually
available to us. Meta App Review and webhook subscriptions are required before production ingest
works; see docs/modules/social-inbox.md.
Watching Reddit and Hacker News for demand
Community reads public threads and ranks them by how much they sound like someone with a problem you solve. Its subtitle is the honest summary: "Ranked threads from Reddit and Hacker News. Skip the noise, promote a lead, or draft a reply. Nothing posts from here."
- Pick a Source: Hacker News or Reddit.
- Enter a Query. A blank query returns nothing, so give it real words.
- Set Cadence (hours) for how often SaaSy re-checks.
- For Reddit, list the communities under Subreddits (comma separated).
- Select Create watch. SaaSy scans once immediately, and you can re-run it any time with Scan.
Each result shows its source, its age, an Intent score and a Fit score, and links out to the original thread. Filter the feed with the open, skipped, and promoted buttons.
- Skip drops a thread out of the open list.
- Promote creates a real lead in your CRM, tagged
community, with the thread title, link and excerpt in the notes and the intent score as the lead score. - Draft writes a suggested reply and saves it on the thread so you can copy it. SaaSy never posts it for you.
One limitation worth knowing before you set up a Reddit watch: Reddit results depend on credentials your workspace may not have. The page says so in its empty state: "Reddit stays quiet until official API credentials are set." Hacker News needs nothing and works straight away.
Quoting from your website
Quote Widget is in two halves: the rate card you maintain, and the form it generates for your website. Visitors can use the embedded form without signing in to SaaSy.
Build the rate card first, under Your rate card.
- Enter a Service name and a short Code (the code is what the widget and Measurements use to find this service).
- Choose what it is Measured in: Square feet, Each, Hours, or Linear feet.
- Set a Call-out fee (added to every quote) and a Minimum charge.
- Under Size bands, add a row per price band with a From, a To, and either a Price per unit or a flat price. "A size on a boundary uses the higher band. Leave 'to' empty for 'and above'."
- Select Save service.
SaaSy checks the bands as you type and will not let you save a rate card with a hole in it. If two bands overlap, or a range of sizes has no price, the page says so and Save service stays disabled.
Then create the widget itself, under Widgets: give it a Widget name, tick the services it should offer under Services this widget offers, and select Create widget. SaaSy generates a short HTML snippet for it, which you copy with Copy snippet. Widgets are create-and-delete; there is no way to rename one or change which services it offers after the fact.
Your prices stay private. As the page says, "Prices are calculated on our servers and never sent to the visitor's browser."
Paste the snippet into your website, then open that page as a visitor to check the form. Select a service, enter the quantity and requested contact details, and submit to see the calculated quote. The submission records the quote and a lead in your workspace. Test with a service and quantity you can check against your rate card before sharing it with customers.
If the form says "This quote form is not available right now," check that the widget still exists and that the snippet uses its current key. A deleted widget cannot accept new quotes.
Measuring a property before you quote
Measurements opens as Property measurements and exists so you can price a job without driving out to look at it. There are two ways to record one.
To trace a property from the air, select Trace a property on a map, type the address, and select Find property. When the aerial view loads, "Click around the edge of the area you service. Click at least three points, then save." Undo point removes the last point and Clear starts over. Give it a Name and select Save measurement. SaaSy calculates the square footage on its servers rather than in your browser, so the number you save is the number it will price against.
If you already know the size, use the form instead: enter a Name, an optional Address, and the Size (sq ft), then select Save measurement. Manual entry always works. Map tracing depends on map imagery being set up for your workspace; if it is not, Find property tells you so.
Each saved measurement shows its size and whether it was Traced on a map or Entered manually. To price one, type a service code from your Quote Widget rate card into Service code to price against, then select Price this on the measurement. SaaSy returns that service's price for that size, using the same rate card and the same arithmetic the quote form uses.
Two things to know about that price. The field is free text and expects the exact Code you set on
the rate card (mow, not Lawn mowing) and a code that does not exist comes back as "No rate is
configured for that service." And the price is shown, not saved: it disappears when you reload, and
it is not attached to the customer, a quote, or a job. Copy it somewhere if you need to keep it.
Tracking which sign or flyer brought work in
Tracked Links gives you a short link and a QR code for each thing you put out in the world.
- Enter a Name for the campaign, such as a flyer or a yard sign.
- Put the page it should open in Where it goes.
- Use Campaign source (optional) to label where the traffic came from, such as
yard-sign. - Select Create link.
Each link shows its short URL and a QR code drawn on the page. Select Copy to take the link. There is no download button for the QR code, so save it the way you would any image on a web page. Links are create-and-delete; there is no way to edit a link's destination once it exists, so make a new one if the campaign changes.
Select Show stats on a link to load its numbers: Clicks, Visitors, Leads, Jobs won, and Revenue. Clicks and Visitors are real counts. Leads, Jobs won and Revenue read zero for every link today; the tracking that would connect a click to the lead it became is not finished yet, so treat those three as not yet reporting rather than as a result. Stats load once per page visit; reload the page to see newer numbers.
Short links are served from a SaaSy address rather than a vanity domain of your own.
Parking ideas
Ideas is a three-column board: Parked, Exploring, and Converted. It is where captures you parked from your Inbox wait until you are ready to look at them. You cannot type a new idea directly on this page; as the empty state says, "Park a capture as an idea from the Inbox, or capture one directly."
Move a card to Exploring with Explore, and back again with Park. When you decide to act on one, select To project and SaaSy creates a CRM project from it; the card then moves to Converted and offers View project. Discard takes a card off the board for good. Archive also removes it, but the collapsible Archived section at the bottom lets you Restore it.
Availability
Growth is on by default in every industry pack: Agency, Professional services, E-commerce, SaaS, Construction, Manufacturing, Nonprofit, and General. Nothing in Growth is hidden by an industry choice. If you do switch it off under Settings → Navigation, that only removes the items from your sidebar; the pages still work if you have the URL.
Website Builder, Name & Brand Studio, Community, Quote Widget, Tracked Links, Measurements, and Ideas carry no separate entitlement. Any plan (Starter, Growth, or Scale) includes them, and there is no free tier, so an active subscription is required.
Social is the one page with its own entitlement. SaaSy Social is included free with every plan, so on Starter, Growth, or Scale you open the page and land straight on Accounts, Composer, and Queue. Without a plan you see an upsell card headed Unlock SaaSy Social, and selecting Add SaaSy Social buys it on its own through checkout. That standalone price is shown at checkout; see hellosaasy.ai/pricing for current pricing. The Social item stays in the sidebar either way, because the upsell is the point of the page for anyone who does not have it.
Connecting your own domain in Website Builder needs the Website Hosting add-on, which is one of the launch and formation services bought when you need them rather than subscribed to up front. Publishing to your SaaSy site address needs nothing extra. See hellosaasy.ai/pricing for what hosting costs.
See Modules, packs, and plans for how visibility and entitlement interact.
SaaSy is not a legal advisor. A name check in Name & Brand Studio is advisory only; it is neither a trademark clearance nor a name reservation, and availability is decided by the Secretary of State at filing time. Confirm a business name with the filing office and a qualified professional before you pay to register it.
