Recruiting
Recruiting covers everything from posting a role to getting an offer accepted: the requisitions you have open, the candidates who applied, where each one sits in your hiring process, the interviews you've scheduled, and the offers you've sent. Once an offer is accepted, converting it creates the employee record in HR, so nothing has to be retyped. Both modules live under People in your sidebar.
What's included
| Page | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Jobs | Job Postings — your open requisitions, by title and department |
| Candidates | Applicant tracking and the resume pipeline, searchable by name, email, or title |
| Hiring Pipeline | A drag-and-drop board of one job's candidates, from Applied through to Hired |
| Interviews | Scheduled interviews, filtered by date range and status |
| Offers | Offer letters and acceptance status, with salary and expiry |
Getting started
- Open People → Jobs and select New job to create your first requisition. Nothing else in Recruiting works well until at least one job exists.
- Go to Candidates and select Add candidate to start your applicant list.
- Open Hiring Pipeline, pick your job from the Job: dropdown, and drag candidates between stages as they progress.
- Schedule interviews from a candidate profile or a pipeline card, then track them under Interviews.
- When you're ready to hire, go to Offers and select New offer.
Posting jobs and adding candidates
Jobs lists your open requisitions with Title, Department, and status. Select New job to add one; if the list is empty the page offers Create your first job posting.
Candidates is your applicant list. Select Add candidate to enter someone manually, or use the search box to find an existing applicant by name, email, or title. Each row shows the candidate's email and the Source they came from, so you can see which channels are producing applicants.
Candidate cards can carry an AI match score against a job. An unscored candidate shows Not scored and a Score action. Scoring needs a parsed resume first — without one, the card says Parse resume first. Once scored, the chip shows a percentage match and opens a breakdown so you see the reasoning, not just the number. If AI isn't configured, the card shows AI not configured.
Working the pipeline
The Hiring Pipeline is a board view of one job at a time.
- Open Hiring Pipeline. Choose a requisition from the Job: dropdown — until you do, the page prompts you to select a job. If you have no jobs yet, use New Job or Post your first job.
- Candidates appear in stage columns: Applied, Screening, Interview, Offer, Hired, and Rejected.
- Drag a card to a new column to move that candidate forward. Empty columns show Drop candidates here.
- Moving someone to Rejected opens a Rejection reason prompt. The Reason (optional) field is free text, so you can record something like a salary mismatch for later reference.
If a move can't be saved, the board tells you the stage move failed rather than silently reverting. When a pipeline is empty, use Browse candidates to add some.
Interviews and offers
Interviews lists what's coming up. Set the From: and To: dates and a Status: to narrow the list, or leave it on Upcoming (all). Interviews are scheduled from a candidate profile or a pipeline card — the Schedule action on a candidate card is the quickest route.
Offers tracks offer letters and acceptance status:
- Select New offer, or create one directly from a candidate's application.
- The list shows Offer ID, Candidate, Job, Salary, and when the offer Expires.
- When an offer is accepted, convert it to create the employee record — this is how employees normally enter the directory in HR.
Availability
Recruiting is switched on by default in the General pack only.
This one catches people out, so it's worth stating plainly: every other industry pack hides Recruiting by default, even when your plan includes it. If you chose Agency, Professional services, E-commerce, SaaS, Construction, Manufacturing, or Nonprofit at Industry Setup, Recruiting will not appear in your sidebar until you switch it on. Go to Settings → Navigation and enable it under Workspace navigation (for everyone) or My navigation (just for you). A badge reading Set by pack next to the module confirms the pack is what hid it.
Recruiting has no plan entitlement attached — every plan includes it, so its absence is always a navigation setting. See Modules, packs, and plans.
