HR

HR is where you keep track of the people who already work for you: who they are, what happens on their first and last day, what benefits you offer, which policies are current, and when reviews are due. It sits alongside Recruiting, which covers everyone who hasn't been hired yet. Both live under People in your sidebar.

Getting started

  1. Open People → Overview to see where your workforce stands. The five cards across the top tell you what needs attention.
  2. Go to Employees to check your directory. If it's empty, the page points you to the usual route: convert an accepted offer to add your first employee.
  3. Open Benefits and select New benefit to record what you offer.
  4. Open Policies and select New policy to publish your first policy.
  5. Check Onboarding for anyone starting soon.

Managing your employee directory

Employees lists your active headcount. Each row shows the employee number, name, role and department, and hire date.

Employees are normally created by converting an accepted offer, so details captured during hiring carry across instead of being retyped.

Employee records hold personal information. Use Settings → Roles and permissions to control who can open them; hiding the HR module under Settings → Navigation only removes it from the sidebar and does not restrict access.

Onboarding and offboarding

Both pages work the same way: a queue of plans, each with a progress indicator.

  1. Open Onboarding to see the Onboarding Queue. Columns show Employee, Department, Role, Start date, and Progress.
  2. Open Offboarding for departures. Columns show Employee, Termination type, Last working day, and Progress.
  3. To create a plan, open the relevant employee's detail page — plans are created from there, not from the queue itself.

The queues are a tracking view: they tell you which plans exist and how far along they are.

Benefits and policies

To add a benefit:

  1. Go to Benefits and select New benefit.
  2. Fill in Benefit name, Category, and Provider name.
  3. Enter Employer contrib. % and Employee contrib. %.
  4. Add a Description if you want something visible to employees, then select Create benefit.

Existing benefits can be changed with Edit, and filtered by category or by Active only / Inactive only.

To publish a policy:

  1. Go to Policies and select New policy.
  2. Enter the Policy name, Category, Version, and Effective date. An Expiration date is optional.
  3. Add a Summary and the full Content.
  4. Optionally set Tags, Applicable departments, and Applicable employment types. Leaving the last two blank applies the policy to everyone.
  5. Select Create policy.

Policies are versioned, so you can supersede one by publishing a new version rather than overwriting the old one. Use View to read a policy in full.

The Ask about policies box answers plain-language questions such as What is our remote work policy? against the policies you've published, and lists the Referenced policies behind its answer so you can check the source. If AI isn't configured, the box says so.

Reviews

Reviews shows Performance Reviews with the employee, review period, rating, and the dates a review was submitted and approved. Filter by status to find what's outstanding, and use Clear filter to return to the full list. The Reviews Due card on the People overview is the fastest way in.

Availability

HR is switched on by default in the Construction, Manufacturing, Nonprofit, and General packs. If you're on another pack it's hidden from your sidebar — switch it on under Settings → Navigation, in either Workspace navigation or My navigation.

HR has no plan entitlement attached: every plan includes it. If you can't see it, it's a navigation setting, not a billing one. See Modules, packs, and plans.
